For husband and wife team Catherine and Martin, making the switch to running their own business was the best thing they ever did. Taking over Faranda Automotive Service in South Brisbane, they discovered a true passion for the industry, and for helping thousands of people with their cars every year. It was no surprise when, in 2018, these Sunshine Coast locals expanded to SVS Autocare.
Building on SVS Autocare’s excellent reputation, Catherine and Martin rebranded their South Brisbane workshop with the same name, extending their commitment to offering first class service for prestige cars.
Being a people person, Catherine loves nothing more than ensuring every customer receives VIP treatment. Meanwhile, Martin is never happier than when he’s got his head under the hood of a car – he’s been doing it ever since he was old enough to hold a spanner!
Martin particularly likes to get stuck into classic car restorations, engine upgrades, and conversions – and not just for customers! He has been restoring Catherine’s 1972 Chevrolet Corvette, and also built a much-loved 1972 Chevrolet Camaro, competing in the Australian Trans-am Racing Series here in Queensland.
